Yesterday, in Luxembourg, the kick-off event celebrating the strategic partnership was held. According to Forrester, “In 2019 digital transformation will become pragmatic.”
Luxembourg, 27 February 2019 – InfoCert (Tinexta Group), the largest Qualified Trust Service Provider in Europe, and LuxTrust, the leader in Digital Trust in Luxembourg, express their full satisfaction with the event they organized yesterday in Luxembourg, where more than 50 top international managers, mainly from the financial sector, participated.
The meeting represents the official launch of the partnership which will primarily address the Benelux and French markets. Together with Camerfirma, one of the main Spanish Certification Authorities, the InfoCert-led trio aims to create the first Digital Champion in EU capable of serving all European local markets with its cutting-edge trust solutions.
After the introduction of Serge Allegrezza, President of the LuxTrust board, and Pier Andrea Chevallard, CEO of Tinexta, the challenges, and opportunities offered to the world of financial institutions within the framework of the Digital Single Market were examined – thanks also to the valuable contribution of the independent analyst Aurelie L’Hostis of Forrester and of the EU DG-Connect policy officer Konstantinos Kapsouropoulos.
Afterward, InfoCert CEO Danilo Cattaneo, LuxTrust CEO Pascal Rogiest and Camerfirma CEO Alfonso Carcasona discussed the joint trust solutions currently available for the European Market, as well as the individual expertise offered by InfoCert, LuxTrust and Camerfirma.
The companies, in line with Forrester’s 2019 forecasts, intend to make a concrete and leading contribution to making digital transformation “pragmatic” by leveraging their skills and experience in the field of technology and regulatory compliance.
Companies and organizations operating in Italy, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain and elsewhere in Europe can now leverage on a wide range of digital trust solutions, also rendered more valuable, thanks to the synergy and the complementarity of the offerings of companies that have long been recognized as digital leaders in their respective geographical areas.
“The United States” observed Pier Andrea Chevallard, CEO of Tinexta SpA, “with their laissez-faire approach to the regulation of the digital economy / internet, have lost their leading position in Europe. Rather, it is the European Union that is at the forefront of setting higher standards for digital trust, which will automatically generate significant benefits for all. In this scenario, the creation of a European Champion will facilitate the achievement of these goals by ensuring the most effective and consistent enforcement of standards across Europe”.
Serge Allegrezza, President of the LuxTrust Board, repeated: “The win-win partnership contributes to Luxembourg’s reputation as a trust center in Europe and will strengthen the Grand Duchy’s position as an ideal location for the concrete development of ICT companies and for innovation. It is yet another cornerstone within LuxTrust’s international development strategy, where InfoCert and Tinexta bring an unrivalled robustness.”
“As InfoCert,” stated Danilo Cattaneo, CEO of InfoCert Tinexta Group, “we are extremely pleased with the progress of this partnership: together with Camerfirma and Luxtrust, we are now by far the largest Qualified Trust Service Provider in Europe. The success of yesterday’s event is evidence of the strategy first implemented in 2018 and lays the foundations for new developments. In the coming months, we are committed to bringing a more complete and qualified offer to European markets to satisfy the ever more sophisticated client demand.
“Digitization is part of every company’s agenda” said Pascal Rogiest, CEO of LuxTrust. “Nevertheless, it is crucial to develop a trustworthy ecosystem that organizations and end-users can rely on, if Europe wants to succeed in its digital transformation. Based on the current regulated European framework, we thought it was essential to show last night a pragmatic overview of the solutions that LuxTrust, InfoCert and Camerfirma already propose internationally in terms of digitization and electronic identities.”
“I am delighted that this event has enabled us to demonstrate,” said Alfonso Carcasona CEO of Camerfirma, “how the joining of forces of InfoCert, LuxTrust and Camerfirma brings together complementary resources and expertise, thereby enabling our customers across Europe to confront and overcome the new and increasingly complex challenges of business digitisation through qualified trust services.”
